Buxom Newness: 5" Stilettos, Cocker Spaniel, Sheepdog, and Sydney

I got all kinds of new new stuff this week. I decided to get some a few of the new Buxom items released this month. I love the Stay There shadows so I got two of the new colours--Sheepdog and Cocker Spaniel--there are two others Collie and Husky. I think I will get Husky at some point.
I think some people will be pleased to see the names of the Buxom lipstick and smoky eye stick at the bottom in good size print.

Cocker Spaniel is interesting. It has a pink base with iridescent pink sparkle. If you put it on heavily it shows up as a light pink. If you do a light layer it, and you have a skin tone like mine, it is almost invisible. I had to really pack it on to get a good swatch.

Sheepdog is beautiful! It is white with sparkle but it doesn't seem to be coloured sparkle. When I swatched it it went on opaque so I don't think I'll have any trouble getting it to show up (I haven't worn it yet so I can't say for sure). I'll update this once I've used it a bit.

5" stilettos is the purple buxom eye shadow stick. This is very dark on the skin and does not look really purple unless you are in good lighting. The swatch is with a flash so you can see the purple in it. I think smudged out it would make a nice smoky eye. I think this stick is creamer than Smokin' Pistol.

Sydney Buxom lipstick is a flesh-y pink. When I put this on alone it looks just like my regular lips only maybe a 1/2 shade darker. This will be invisible on some people. I think I will use this under gloss or when I need a really natural lip and don't want to use a pale pink.

I decided to use cocker spaniel and 5" stiletto and I couldn't resist using Wowza and Chuckle again. (I used wowza very lightly in the crease and it looks pink)

Bare Escentuals Face Fashion: Pure Happiness

I really can't get over how good all the Bare Escentuals blushes have been in almost all the kits in the last 8 or so months. Chuckle is a really pretty, natural looking pink blush that brightens up your face instantly. It is only one of all the awesome things in this installment of the Face Fashion kit. I know that when a kit comes out the first thing people want to know is how the eye shadows compare to colours that are already out there, so I did comparison swatches for both colours.

Happy is a blue leaning green that is most similar to Siren. It is lighter in colour and a different texture than siren. I like it. I love colours in this family so I might be a bit biased.

Wowza couldn't have a better name. It is a mid-tone true purple with some sparkle. It is darker and more intense than vivid.

Big and Bright liner in Indigo. This is a purple leaning blue. I really like the colour of this liner. I am really warming up to the Big and Bright liners now that I have used them for a while. I smooth out the line with the liner brush from Keling. I also use the brush to shape the point of the liner and that gives me the look I want. I think that these liners really do brighten your eyes--I love to use the Inense black liner when I do a smoky eye because my eyes look so bright. That is perhaps the main reason I am warming up to these liners.

Funnel Cake lip gloss is a very natural looking pink. Pretty and not too sheer.

EYES:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance,
50/50 mix well rested/clear radince all over,

Bare Escentuals San Francisco Collection

I didn't get the San Francisco collection when it came out becuse I already had the blush and there were other kits I wanted more. However, recently I was able to get just the eye shadows and I couldn't pass them up. I like them both. North beach is pink-ish, I don't really have anything like it as you will see in the swatches. Cable Car is really pretty it is has a wine tone to it that I like (but it also has a bronzy undertone like sex kitten). It is not as purple as Here Kitty.
The other items in this kit are Golden Gate blush (which I'm wearing) and Sourdough lipgloss (I don't have that one).

This doesn't look great in pictures but in person it was pretty.

Bare Escentuals: Naturally Luminous

This collection was on QVC during the last show but it will be in boutiques next month. Bare Escentuals made a video for this kit.

I'm really glad I got this kit. The colours are pretty and unlike anything I have. The light green will look white on some skin tones, but when you see it in the swatches I hope you will see that it is not really like the other very pale greens I have.

The brown is a nice rich brown with a bronze-y sheen. Neither colours are sparkly but they both have a luminous sheen. I am not a big fan of browns but I think I will actually wear restore.

The blush is bright pink. It kind of looks like Fruit Cocktail in the pot. It is a really soft pink.
The lipgloss is a sheer pink. It looks very pigmented in the tube and so I was surprised by how sheer it is. I think it would look best over a lipliner or a buxom lipstick like Las vegas or London.
