Buxom Stay There Terrier and Whippet

Here are two more looks using the colours from the Buxom Stay There Palette. Terrier is a really pretty hot pink. I should have used purples with it like I originally planned but then I got it into my head to use the High Shine Vapor in a tube. HS Vapor in the tube is more blue than the original vapor in the pot that came in the Sephora Shimmer and Shine. I think I like the version in the pot better. The tube version is very similar to high shine electric.


Whippet is a really pretty champange peach. It reminds me of a Kat Von D colour that came in the rock and roll 500 point Sephora gift.

Cocker Spaniel and Alive

I had really bad allergies all weekend. I have never had a reaction like that, my eyes were all puffy and my face was red--it was terrible. But I think I'm getting back to normal today.

I thought I would were a few of my buxom eye shadows today since I will be getting a few more soon. There are two new kits at Sephora with new buxom eye shadow colours in them. I can't wait to get them.

I usually use the buxom shadows as a base and then put the mineral shadows over them. But today I blended Schnauzer over Alive and it worked out great.

Bare Escentuals Color Shift: Lilac/Grey and Bronze/Green

Before I get to the looks I have it on good authority (Jess) that Bravon will have a wedding makeup page on the Bare Escentuals website starting around May 12th. Many of you are big fans of Bravon and his work so I know this is exciting news. I know I'm excited. I will probably do some of the looks from the page once it's up. I can't wait to see what he comes up with!

The color shift colour are interesting. The lilac is very light and pretty. I put the colour in the crease first and blended it out to make it turn grey then I gently patted it lash to crease to keep the shinner lighter lilac colour. I find that the lilac/grey does not produce a dramatic difference in colour when you blend it out but it creates a difference in texture. When blended out it is very soft and almost matte looking. Hopefully you will beable to see it in the pictures.

There is a dramatic difference with the Bronze/green colour. I used the same method for both looks. The green is a nice bright mossy green and the bronze is a light nude-ish bronze.

Minx and Moonshine

A friend asked me to curl my lashes so I attempted to do so. I think it actually worked out okay. I think I will try to curl my lashes in different ways with different mascaras this week and see what works best. I have the heated eye lash curler from Sephora so that's what I will be using.

Baby Blue

One of the challenges on Majyk this week was to do a pastel look. I thought I would use No Eye Deer as the main colour in this look but I think everything blends together and it doesn't really look very pastel overall.

Another thing the Tarte lipstains are good for is using them over the buxom lipsticks or other lipsticks to add just a hint of pink or a tiny bit more colour or a little glossy-ness. One swipe of the Tarte stain is usually enough. I think pouty looks really nice over sydney.

Midnight

It's been a while since I've used voodoo and I forgot how dark it is. In doing this look I have to say that I love the Big and Bright liner in Midnight. Next to the intense black B&B I think Midnight might be my favorite. I love the way the B&B liners make my eyes look I think they do make your eyes look whiter and my mascara looks darker or something. I am really warming up to them. I still can't draw a  thin strait line with them and I often need to use a brush to get all the way to my lash line but I think the effect is worth it.

Jade and Frost

In my look for today (the first one) I used the Maybelline One By One mascara in Blackest Black. It glides on easily, and does give a good amount of length and volume. I was expecting the brush to help seperate my lashes more easily but I don't think it does. I think the Bare escentuals flawless definition is better for seperation with some volume. My lashes do look good but not the best mascara I've tried.
