Purples: Skinny Dip, Magnificent Pearl, Merlot

Skinny Dip is an old favorite but I haven't worn it in a while so I decided to do a look around it. Magnificent pearl was on my mind beacuse it is one of the free gift eye shadows that BE.com is giving away with any $60 order. Merolt is a colour I thought I didn't like but I think I like it in this combo. I put mascara on my lower lashes today, which I don't noramlly do, I'm not sure if I like it.

EYES:

PTFE Brightening Opal,

Skinny Dip dry lash to brow,

Skinny Dip foiled lash to crease,

Magnificent pearl lash into crease on outer 1/3ish,

Merlot in T and blended into magnificent pearl,

Buxom 5" Stiletto lined on top,

Buxom mascara top and bottom.

Inspired by Flashy Fuchisa

Yesterday I painted my nails Flashy Fuchisa (and I painted my toes to match this morning) and it got me thinking about bright pinks with purple iridescence. You probably can't really see the purple iridescence in flashy fuchisa but it is there in real life. The first colour that came to mind was MAC Pink Pearl. I have been seeing a lot of clothes that combine bright pink with navy or a dark purple so I thought I would try something like that.

If you wanted to do this look with all Bare Escentuals you could use 1960s or BFF as the highlight, Twilight in place of One special star, Wildflower in place of Pink Pearl, and Rock Star in place of the liner.

50/50 mix well rested/clear radaince all over,
The She Space (TSS) That's Love baby under brow,
TSS One Special Star in and above crease on outer 1/2ish,
MAC Pink pearl lash to crease,
TSS The maestro wet lined on top,

Sugar Plum

Just a quick plum look.

Sugar Plum lightly lash to crease on outer 1/2ish and into lower crease,
Beautiful Lisa in crease,
Sugar Plum wet lined on top,

Purple Glow

Today's look is all purple. Grape has a neon quality in pictures but it is not so bold in person. (For some reason colours like Grape, blueberry, Turquoise sea and Dare photograph like that). I really liked playing with different tones of blue in the wave look and thought purple would be a good candidate for similar fun.

Divas on the Fifth

I got my Sitting Pretty on the 5th collection from the she space yesterday so I had to give some of the colours a try. I really love Divas on the fifth--it is a nice slate purple grey. It looks lighter on then in the jar.

How about a Kiss?

I have ordered a lot of TSS colours lately and I am trying to use them at least once before I put them into their colour catagory in my tool chest. I will probably be doing TSS looks at least a few times a week!

The most recent arrivals were from the Kiss of This and a Kiss of That collection. I think faith without words is from one of the astrology collections, but I'm not sure where one special star is from. I really love One Special Star. At frist I thought it was going to be really similar to BE Amythest but once I wet lined with it I could see some baby blue sparkles. It is really pretty!

I also just got my stuff from the BE preview. I only got the natural lip gloss set cherish and girlfriend kathleen. As it turns out I already had all of the lip glosses in the set except Birthday Cake. I am wearing Birthday Cake but I wanted to show you what it looks like in the tube--it's really pretty!!
