Brown Smoky Eye Inspired by MUFE

This was my attempt at the brown smoky eye in the ad for the makeup forever smoky palette. I think it turned out okay but I like the green on better. My brown drawer is severly neglected so it was nice to have an idea for a brown look.

Cognac Diamond lash into crease on outer 2/3ish,

Smoldering Peach

This was inspired by the heat wave we are having. I love the way High Shine meteroite turns a smoky eggplant when you buff it out.

High Shine Meteroite lash into crease on outer 1/2,

Fun and Fruity

The inspiration picture on Majyk this week was a picture of fruit. So I came up with the fruitiest combination I could think of.

EYES:
PTFE Opal,
Lemon Meringue under brow,
Strawberry Daiquiri lash to crease,
Pure Luxe Strawberry lash to crease on outer 1/2ish,
Grape in crease and outer corner and dry lined on bottom,
Blueberry lightly in outer corner,
Blueberry mixed with Onyx wet lined on top,
Flawless definition Volumizing mascara.

Bare Escentuals Bright and Beautiful

This is a new kit that appeared at Ulta recently. It has a charm in it like Smart and Savvy, Fast and Flirty (?) and Love and Happiness.

I love the Prime Time Brightening Primer so I had to get this kit. I'm really glad I did. I love the new Prime Time for Eye Brightening Opal eye shadow primer. It is not as sparkly or stark as the PTFEB Pearl primer and has a very clear pink tint to it.

Vintage peach is a nice universal blush, I already had it from a pervious kit. Fruit Punch the gloss in this set is new (there are other glosses with similar names--fruit cocktail, fruit smoothie and maybe one other one). Fruit punch is very glossy and sheer. It gave a little tinit to my lips but it is almost clear. It will look good over lipsticks and lip liners.

The Big and Bright liner in Stone is really pretty. It is a dark grey.

Bare Escentuals Color Shift: Lilac/Grey and Bronze/Green

Before I get to the looks I have it on good authority (Jess) that Bravon will have a wedding makeup page on the Bare Escentuals website starting around May 12th. Many of you are big fans of Bravon and his work so I know this is exciting news. I know I'm excited. I will probably do some of the looks from the page once it's up. I can't wait to see what he comes up with!

The color shift colour are interesting. The lilac is very light and pretty. I put the colour in the crease first and blended it out to make it turn grey then I gently patted it lash to crease to keep the shinner lighter lilac colour. I find that the lilac/grey does not produce a dramatic difference in colour when you blend it out but it creates a difference in texture. When blended out it is very soft and almost matte looking. Hopefully you will beable to see it in the pictures.

There is a dramatic difference with the Bronze/green colour. I used the same method for both looks. The green is a nice bright mossy green and the bronze is a light nude-ish bronze.

Morocco and Sex Kitten

I think my browns are the most neglected of all the shades I own. When I first started using BE I wore a lot of yellow and gold so I have quite a few browns to pair with those, but I tend to feel a little plain when I wear brown. I think this look is a more colourful way to do neutrals and so it's a bit more my style. The buxom shadow looks a little more sparkly in some of the pictures than it does in real life.

I also re-discovered RSVP blush when I was sorting through my blushes. Although I haven't worn it much as a blush I think it adds just the right amount of colour and glow as a bronzer, so I've been using it that way fairly often lately.

Crazy for Copper

Sometimes when I have no idea what to wear I ask my husband what I should wear. Today he suggested copper. Brass Roots is probably the most copper eye shadow I own so it was the natural choice.

TFSI, wr/cr,
In the buff under brow on outer 2/3,
Golden Earth in crease and outer corner,
