Purples: Skinny Dip, Magnificent Pearl, Merlot

Skinny Dip is an old favorite but I haven't worn it in a while so I decided to do a look around it. Magnificent pearl was on my mind beacuse it is one of the free gift eye shadows that BE.com is giving away with any $60 order. Merolt is a colour I thought I didn't like but I think I like it in this combo. I put mascara on my lower lashes today, which I don't noramlly do, I'm not sure if I like it.

EYES:

Skinny Dip dry lash to brow,

Skinny Dip foiled lash to crease,

Magnificent pearl lash into crease on outer 1/3ish,

Merlot in T and blended into magnificent pearl,

Buxom 5" Stiletto lined on top,

Bare Escentuals Good Morning Gorgeous and High Shine Swatches and a look with Tuesday

I had time to do some swatches so here you go.

Here are swatches of the new high shine colours. I will be getting rose gold and bronze later and I will swatch those when I get them. I think High Shine Meteorite and High Shine Flash are unique but High Shine Ice is very similar to high shine Charisma. High Shine Charisma is a little darker and maybe a little warmer than HS ice. I'm not sure if you can tell that HS Flash is really lavender in the pictures--I think it looks more lavender in person.

Good Morning Gorgeous has some interesting colours in it. Friday is especially unique. I don't even know what colour it is. Sometimes it looks blue, sometimes it looks green and then I thought it looked a little purple when I blended it out on my hand but it is very pretty. I really like Monday it really isn't like any of my other blues. Tuesday is a nice pink that is a shade or two darker than Pink Posey. Wednesday is a more wearable version of Exotic Victoria. Wednesday has a smoky base and sparkle that is similar to Exotic Victoria but because the the darker base and the fact that it is a little more green I think it is easier to use than EV. Thursday is a lighter version of Rebel. They both have the reddish brown base and the bluish irridescent sparkle but rebel is darker. Saturday is very similar in colour to Tiara but it has bigger sparkles. Sunday is not like anything I already have, I thought it might be similar to cocoa but it is much more pink.

Buxom Newness: 5" Stilettos, Cocker Spaniel, Sheepdog, and Sydney

I got all kinds of new new stuff this week. I decided to get some a few of the new Buxom items released this month. I love the Stay There shadows so I got two of the new colours--Sheepdog and Cocker Spaniel--there are two others Collie and Husky. I think I will get Husky at some point.
I think some people will be pleased to see the names of the Buxom lipstick and smoky eye stick at the bottom in good size print.

Cocker Spaniel is interesting. It has a pink base with iridescent pink sparkle. If you put it on heavily it shows up as a light pink. If you do a light layer it, and you have a skin tone like mine, it is almost invisible. I had to really pack it on to get a good swatch.

Sheepdog is beautiful! It is white with sparkle but it doesn't seem to be coloured sparkle. When I swatched it it went on opaque so I don't think I'll have any trouble getting it to show up (I haven't worn it yet so I can't say for sure). I'll update this once I've used it a bit.

5" stilettos is the purple buxom eye shadow stick. This is very dark on the skin and does not look really purple unless you are in good lighting. The swatch is with a flash so you can see the purple in it. I think smudged out it would make a nice smoky eye. I think this stick is creamer than Smokin' Pistol.

Sydney Buxom lipstick is a flesh-y pink. When I put this on alone it looks just like my regular lips only maybe a 1/2 shade darker. This will be invisible on some people. I think I will use this under gloss or when I need a really natural lip and don't want to use a pale pink.

I decided to use cocker spaniel and 5" stiletto and I couldn't resist using Wowza and Chuckle again. (I used wowza very lightly in the crease and it looks pink)
