I wanted to use a bunch of colours I've been neglecting and it resulted in this fall look.
EYES:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance, 50/50 mix well rested/clear radiance all over, Hay under brow, Buxom Stay there Black Lab lash into crease, Trophy Wife lash to crease on inner 1/2, Panther lash into crease on outer 1/2ish, Big and Bright Black Gold liner, mascara.
CHEEKS: Poppy blush LIPS: Smashbox Lipliner in Palm Beach with LORAC gloss in Bliss over it.
I've been in a hurry the last few days so here are two looks that didn't take very long to do.
EYES:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance, 50/50 mix well rested/clear radince all over, Nude beach under brow, Buxom ST Pug lash into crease, Buxom ST Black Lab in lower crease and outer corner, Buxom lash liner in Leatherette upp lash line, Flawless definition volumizing mascara.
CHEEKS: TTYL blush LIPS: Cranberry Sorbet gloss
EYES:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Buxom ST Sheepdog under brow, High Shine pewter lash into and above crease, Big and Bright liner in Midnight, Flawless Defintion mascara.
EYES: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, 50/50 mix well rested/clear radince all over, Buxom Stay there in Black Lab lash into and above crease on outer 2/3, Blue Moon lash to crease on inner 1/2, Neptune under brow, Caviar wet lined on top and dry on bottom, Sephora Lash Plumper mascara.
So today I did a video with black lab and extreme silver. I used the same method with the teal, green and gold looks I did last week.
I made a swatch of Black Lab and put a bunch of different colours over it. Hopefully that will give you some more ideas for holiday looks.
I used the Sephora glitter paddle with the extreme silver and I have to say that I am pleased with how it worked. The silver ended up looking really good and I was able to distribute it evenly over my lid. I did however have some fall out but not nearly as much as with a regular brush.
Swatches: I think 1990's, King and Congo would look really great.
EYES:
PTFE, wr/cr, Garland under brow, Buxom Stay There in black lab lash blended into crease and winged out, Extreme Silver lash to crease, Tarte inner rim liner top and bottom, Tarte Lights, Camera lashes mascara.
CHEEKS: Irresistable blush, Gold MV LIPS: Tarte Charmed lip crayon.
VIDEO:
I also did a video where I talk about my favorite holiday kits from Bare Escentuals:
I got the idea for this look from Maureen from the Bare Escentuals addicts forum. I really love it! Thanks for the awesome suggestion Maureen!!!!!!!
Also the December BE.com F&F sale starts tomorrow (12/9-12/12). The 20% off code is: GETLUV
EYES:
PTFE, wr/cr,
Tiara under brow,
Buxom Stay There in Black lab lash into crease and winged out,
Buxom Smokin' Pistol stick along upper and lower lash line and blended out,
Exotic tara blended over black lab,
Bermuda to darken outer crease,
Tarte lights camera lashes mascara.
CHEEKS: Pink Ribbon blush
LIPS: Buxom lipstick in Las Vegas with Poof in the center.
For some reason I have been doing variations on the smokey eye. I've not done a true black and grey smokey eye but smoke has been on my mind. So here are three looks with a smokey quality.
EYES: PTFE, wr/cr, Buxom Stay There Black Lab lash into crease, Snowmandance Glorious Green lash to crease, Whimsy to blend out edges under the brow, Flawless mascara with Buxom mascara over it.
CHEEKS: Pink Tourmaline blush LIPS: Sorbet lipstick with lipfusion Crave gloss over it.
EYES: PTFE, wr/cr, Reflection under brow, Gracious in crease, Buxom Stay There Bull dog lash to crease, Gracious blended over bull dog in the outer 1/3, Onyx dry lined on top, Tarte mascara.
CHEEKS: Giddy Pink blush LIPS: Icing gloss.
This last look is more misty than smokey and it's kind of an odd combination.
EYES: PTFE, wr/cr, Classic Rock under brow, BST Pug lash to crease, Dragonfly in crease and wet lined on top, Flawless definition mascara.
I don't have any swatches right now but maybe I'll get them done this weekend and update this post. UPDATE:
As you can tell I really like the Buxom Stay There shadows. UPDATE:Black lab is more sheer than I thought it would be. You really have to get a lot of product on your brush if you want to use it as a liner. But it also makes a great sheer black base for a smoky eye. I also felt like I had to really pack on Bull dog to get the right saturation of colour. I have never had a problem with Buxom eye shadows creasing before but all three of these creased a bit even though I used primer under them. Maybe it was because I used only the buxom shadows without some minerals mixed in, but I have heard other people complain of creasing so maybe it is the batch or the colours, I don't know. I'll let you know if anything changes.
The first look is a party look but I think it would be fine for daytime too. The second look is all I could manage this morning. I had to get up early to grade papers and I haven't been sleeping well--it shows. My students asked me if I'd been up all night grading their papers.
EYES:
PTFE, wr/cr Tiara under brow, Buxom Stay There (BST)Black lab lash blended into crease outer 1/2ish, BST Chihuahua lash to crease inner 1/2. BST Bull dog lash to crease in middle of lid, Lash fusion (or something like that) mascara.
CHEEKS:? LIPS: Lip Fusion Crave lip gloss
EYES:
Benefit Stay Put, wr/cr, Buxom Stay There in Poodle lash to brow, Lagoon wet lined on top, Tarte mascara.
