Fun with Drugstore Makeup: Maybelline EyeStudio Blue Blowout

I'm allergic to most pressed eye shadow but since I discovered primer I have found that I can usually wear some brands as long as I wear primer. I think was was the victim of advertising and I had a coupon so I decided to buy a Maybelline Eyestudio palette in Blue Blowout.

It has been so long since I have used drgustore eye shadow I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasently surprised! The colours in this palette are very pigmented and quite blendable. Although there were no colour placement instructions I think the overall look is very nice. The glitter in the palette does not stick very well so I ended up with it all over my face. I used the navy wet as a liner and aside from a little pilling it went on smoothly and stayed in place. I do find that the colours crease a little by the end of the day but it is not so bad that it would deter me from wearing this palette.

The glitter is at the top. I applied this look with brushes rather than the thing it came with.

So if you are looking for a cheap thrill this is a good palette to try. (It was about $8 with the coupon)
