Bare Escentuals Putting on The Glitz

Putting on the Glitz is Sephora's holiday kit from Bare Escentuals. It has all new eye, cheek and lip colours. It contains a primer shadow in Toasted Almond which is a taupe brown with some sparkle. It has two loose eye shadows one called Glamtastic, which is a medium to light peach champange, and Glitz which is a sparkly plum with brown undertones which come out when put over Toasted Almond. There is also a waterproof Around the Clock liner in 5pm (plum). My round the clock liner was un-usable. The center came out of the pencil and when I tried to draw a line on my eye with it it came off in sticky balls of liner and would not put any liner on my eye. I have heard a few other reports of missing or defective round the clock eye liners so if you buy this in store you might want to check your liner before you buy it.

There is also a new radiance in this kit called Luxe radiance. Luxe radiance is a nude pinky peach that goes on almost sheer but does give you a slight pink glow by itself. The blush is called Gorgeous and it is just that! I really like this blush. The Pretty Amazing lip gloss is called Perky and is a really great neutral pink that enhances your lips. I think Perky is my favorite Pretty Amazing colour so far. (I do also love the other pretty amazing gloss I have).

In the second look I didn't use the PTFE Toasted Almond to see if Glitz would show up more plum with out it. I think Glitz does look more plum in the second look, even though in the pictures it looks like a rusty plum, from a distance it does look like a dark dirty plum. Wet lined it looks more purple so maybe foiled on the lid combined with purples and pinks it would look purple. I think I have a skin tone that makes purples with brown undertones look brown on me.
